Dr. Thelma Tennie
Certified Clinical Sexologist, LMFT
Dr. Tennie holds a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and holds a PhD in Clinical Sexology.
As founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Healing Arts Institute of South Florida International, Inc. Dr. Tennie strives to deliver on Healing Arts mission of “Inspiring Hope, Health, & Mental Well-Being”.
Dr. Tennie has over eight years of experience providing trauma therapy, she is a Broward County certified school teacher in the area of social science, and has over 5 years experience in research on the early diagnosis, treatment, and importance of psycho-education regarding autism.
Dr. Tennie’s wide-ranging interests have led to studies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Early Childhood Sexual Education. In 2016 and 2017 she was nominated by Nova Southern University as alumni of the year.
She has presented internationally at The Normal University in Beijing, China, in 2015 on the prevalence of autism in the US and China; The National Sex Conference in Munich Germany, in 2016, on Polyamorous systems; and Nationally at The Association of Black Sexologists and Clinicians and Columbia College Chicago, in 2018 on the importance of Early Sexual Education with Children.
Dr. Debra Harris
Dr. Debra has more than 30 years of community service, corporate training and coaching experience. A social scientist, researcher, former university psychotherapy professor, and diversity and inclusion expert, she helps organizations and companies navigate through tough leadership, diversity and organizational development challenges.
She has appeared on CNBC, FOX and many local, regional and national media. Dr. Debra retired from academia to dedicate herself to helping global corporations, CEOs, and spiritual and business leaders who are committed to not only making a difference in their respective organizations, but also the world. Kevia Figueroa, M.S.
Registered Marriage and Family Therapist
Kevia is a Florida Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a student member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling
and a Bachelors’ degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in the field of Social Work with a minor in Psychology.
Sabrina is a Florida Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and a student member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) who has trained under Dr. Tennie for two years and has over five years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
She believes that it is vital to provide a safe space where clients can be vulnerable and transparent, where they can participate in real dialog to grow and overcome the challenges they face.
Sabrina holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Karol has extensive experience in Human Resources management within various industries including print media and mental health counseling.
