Johnniya Hamilton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Florida Qualified Supervisor, and an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Supervisor Candidate. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from Miami-Dade Honors College, followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Management with a concentration in Law Enforcement. She holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling and is currently a Ph.D Candidate in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior at Capella University.

Ms. Hamilton has more than five years of clinical experience providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to children, adolescents, couples, and families. Her professional background includes work with populations experiencing anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), parent-child conflict, grief and loss, and adjustment difficulties associated with life-cycle and relational transitions. She also has extensive experience supporting clients with substance use disorders in both residential and outpatient treatment settings.

Trained in a variety of systemic and evidence-based therapeutic models, Ms. Hamilton integrates culturally responsive and strength-based approaches in her clinical practice. She has served as a member of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with the Department of Juvenile Justice, child protective services, and multiple public-school systems to ensure comprehensive community-based mental health care. She has also provided services in youth diversion programs, employing restorative justice principles to foster accountability and relational repair.

As a clinical leader, Ms. Hamilton is committed to developing competent, ethical mental health professionals and advancing the field through supervision, training, and program development. In her role as Chief Clinical Officer at the Healing Arts Institute of South Florida International, she oversees programmatic design, clinical service delivery, and the professional development of clinicians working within trauma-informed and community-based care systems. Her work reflects a dedication to promoting self-advocacy, resilience, healthy relational boundaries, and personal growth among diverse populations.
