Motivational Interviewing (MI) has become the most widely used behavioral intervention in social services with over 40 years of supporting research and practice. Originally intended for clinical staff (therapists, psychologists) it is now effectively and widely used by many different professions. This full-day session will provide the attendees with an understanding of the MI Mindset and Principles which explain the underlying Theory of Change for the model. Attendees will also receive knowledge and practice in MI Engagement Skills and Behavioral Change Skills.
