In this in person training, attendees will gain a more in-depth understanding on Non-Suicidal Self Injury (NSSI) and the impact on the brain, behaviors, emotions, and relationships. Strategies for schools and parents as beginning responses and supports will be discussed. Do’s and Don’ts will be reviewed. Finally, a quick review will be done on the risk of suicide when NSSI’s are present specifically in times of heightened uncertainty. Specifically, an understanding related to culture, NSSI pain, and suicide will be presented.. CSC will be providing CEU’s for LCSW, LMHCs and LMFT’s.
