As a graduate of Boyd H. Anderson High School, I completed the Health and Wellness Magnet
Program and earned top honors in my class. Following graduation, I continued my educational
journey at Broward College and Clayton State University, where my long-term goal was and still
is to build a career that allows me to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of others.
Service to others has always been at the core of who I am. I am especially passionate about
supporting individuals who are unable to fully advocate or care for themselves. Over the past
several years, I have gained hands-on experience working as a Home Health Aide, where I have
provided compassionate, respectful, and attentive care to elderly adults. I strived to create a sense
of dignity, comfort, and emotional security for individuals under my care. Through this
experience, I have developed patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, all of which are
vital in the work that I have the opportunity to contribute daily here at the Healing Arts Institute.
My past work has also opened my eyes to the importance of mental and emotional well-being. I
have witnessed firsthand how lack of access to mental health resources can significantly impact a
person’s quality of life. These experiences have strengthened my belief that mental health care
should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. Mental health
is just as important as physical health, and both must be addressed to achieve true overall
wellness.
Healing Arts Institute embodies this and aligns deeply with my personal values and professional
goals. Being part of a team that prioritizes empathy, understanding, and comprehensive care is
incredibly meaningful to me.
